Introductory Classes
6-12 hour classes that cover the history and basics of Hawaiian Massage techniques. Introductory classes offered in Lomi Lomi, Hawaiian Hot Stone Massage and Hawaiian Massage for Pregnancy. See sections below for pregnancy and hot stone class dates.
Open to anyone who wants to learn including estheticians, Licensed massage therapists and other professional bodyworkers with anatomy and hands on professions, PTs, LOTs, Chiropractors etc.

Cupping massage Basics No massage experience required earns 3 NCBTMB CE hours.
Learn the correct placement, safety, contraindications and use of both silicone and vacuum suction cups in massage. Demonstration followed by hands on practice. Learn to use cups on others and yourself.

A gentle but effective massage for the mother to be, nurturing the whole body and targeting the areas most effected by pregnancy. In this workshop students will learn massage techniques appropriate for all stages of pregnancy as well as contraindications. The unique rhythmic movements of Hawaiian massage are particularly suited to pregnant and laboring women.
You will learn a full body side lying massage on massage tables, Self-care and exercises to help prepare the body for birth will also be covered. Open to Massage Therapists, Doulas, Health care professionals and the partners or friends of pregnant women who want to acquire the skills to help provide them comfort. Techniques are performed that can be used during any stage of pregnancy.

Hawaiian Hot Stone Massage
Traditionally the Hawaiians use all of the elements in nature for healing, earth, air, water, fire, plants and stones. Heated stones are placed on the body to prepare the muscles for massage. Then the stones are used to massage the body with the long rhythmic strokes of lomi lomi for a warm, deep uniquely immersive relaxation experience.
Students learn the correct placement, handling, safety and contraindications of Hawaiian hot stone massage, as well as where and how to select stones to use in treatment. A variety of techniques are offered with supervised practice and a chance to perform a full body routine.
Hawaiian Lomi Lomi Massage Workshops and Residential retreats
12-50 hour options open to Massage or related professionals only.
All seminars incorporate movement and breath exercises, Hawaiian Massage techniques and exercises for self care. The Hawaiian practices of Pule-prayer, Oli-chant and Ho’oponopono-a focus on right thought and action and a process for conflict resolution are an integral part of every course. Longer courses go into more depth on these and other Hawaiian traditions.
Practitioners work on each other and switch partners to learn how to apply the techniques to different body types. Individual attention is given by the instructor so that the students learn how to utilize their body mechanics in the most efficient way for them
By the end of the seminar each person will have a sound understanding of Hawaiian Massage techniques and receive a certificate of completion equaling 12-50 NCBTMB CE hours. Courses longer than 12 hours are only open to trained bodywork professionals so you never learn at the pace of or trade massage with untrained partners.
24 hour Lomi Lomi level 1 course is approved in the UK by the CThA, The Australian Massage and Myotherapy the NCBTMB in the US and the hours are recognized by Massage New Zealand and the 40 hour version is approved with Canadian MTAS.

Classes longer than 12 hours are open to trained massage therapists and related professionals only. This way you are never trading massage or learning at the pace and skill level of students with no prior massage or anatomy training. Separate classes for non-professionals are also offered.
Workshops are approved with NCBTMB and DONA in the USA, MTAS of Canada, Massage and Myotherapy Australia, CThA in the UK and I am an affiliate member of Massage New Zealand.
Couples Massage
Learn the skills to add more intentional therapeutic touch to your relationship.
Massage is a fantastic way to provide your partner with physical comfort, emotional security and Oxytocin, the love hormone that is beneficial on many levels including stress relief.
Carrie Curtis has been a massage therapist since 1998 and has been traveling the world teaching Hawaiian massage and couples massage classes for over 25 years.
Her husband Nile is also a massage therapist and they have been teaching couples classes and retreats together since 2005. In home couples and tandem massage with both of us at the same time is available on Oahu.
Learn in the comfort and privacy of your own home. $120 per hour plus $25-$50 travel fee.

I also offer outcall massage to women and their families on Oahu, private one on one and couples training and customized group retreats to suit your budget and skill level. I am also trained as a birth doula and have a certification in prenatal exercise and can help pregnant couples prepare for labor and post partum recovery. I can teach you and your partner or labor support person massage techniques, movement and comfort measures for labor and recovery in the comfort of your home.

Transformational Lomi Sessions
These sessions are for those ready to take their bodywork to the next level, releasing limiting beliefs and holding patterns that form as a result in the physical body. The session begins with a dialog on your intentions and patterns both physical, emotional and spiritual. The massage may incorporate the use of different oils, heated stones, breath and sound, chanting, and massage. These sessions can be relaxing, invigorating, rejuvenating, cathartic and life altering.
$300 for Transformational Sessions. Allow 2 1/2- 3 hours for this session
